Also...

Another petite question, while we are at it...

Does anyone else's man sit and watch American football while wearing his helmet and hugging his ball or is mine just crazy weird?

Yeah...that's what I thought.

(I should probably mention that he doesn't always do this. Only when he has a beer or two in him.)

My dear, I am still waiting for my invite to your crémaillère (or at least to meet you in general). We've both been here for a few months now, we absolutely must meet up!

Well, I came home from work one day to find B asleep on the sofa wearing his scooter helmet. He won't like me for telling you that!

I didn't know you were dating an American O_o

Ermm, no, but then my husband hates all sport. I did share a flat for a while with a guy who used to put on a special kimono and then watch sumo wrestling on Channel 4 while smoking cigars. Does that count?

And on top of that he's French, right?

Er... weird.

But your cat is weirder. So, what's your weird thing girl?

I think that's just your one that does that. Hah Jane that's funny. You know when I was wee I was so horse-mad, when I got my first riding hat I wouldn't take it off. I even when to bed with it on. There is photographic evidence somewhere!

hmmm....possibly the princesse has a fetish with "weird"!!?!?

j/k.

i think it's rather funny. sometimes todd does things (nothing that's coming to mind right now) that allow me to see the little boy in him...i revel in the "preciousness" when i can...cuz he's such the manly stud all the rest of the time.

no seriously. he is!!!!

Now THAT is awesome.

Who does he root for?

for TD from FP : GEAUX SAINTS !!

But of course. I should have guessed.

Frankly, I thought "american football" was practically a joke outside of the US. Kind of funny to see some international interest - I didn't even know it was broadcast outside the states!

Princesse Ecossaise said...

TD ah non!! Certainly no joke! It's not broadcast here in France (although some of the games are shown in Britain) which is why FP is constantly on the computer downloading games and sitting on forums and complaining about the fact that it's not broadcast here.

American football is the other woman in our relationship...

p.s there used to be a pretty well known american football team in Scotland called The Scottish Claymores. They were rather popular!

guys, imagine if a guy just pop out of the screen ! i need to be protected otherwise i'll be knock'd out!! hihi

Yeah in france (and europe) american football is just weird game that no one understand at all. But there is a little championship in france with 3 divisions. Anyway, i love this sport and i'm always eager to speak football with american. I know enough about football that i discuss on american forum about the Saints and football! This year, i'll play in D3 in a team call the Quarks! Yayy!!! (yeah i'm not big and strong but i run enough quickly and i can catch the ball...) God bless this game !!

Sam - ca y est! ;-)

Jane - Now that is class! Did you take photographic evidence? Always take photographic evidence, it will, at many times, come in handy.

DP - aye, yer no wrong there mister

Ghosty - he wishes!!

Loth - That is even better!! What a laugh! Slightly embarrassing for the guy though...what was he thinking doing that in front of other human beings?!

Zhu - Zhu, after all this time of you reading this blog, you ask me what is my weird thing? Do you really want to re-open up that can of worms? I am, quite simply, werid in general.

Lis - Haha that's so cuuute! Your riding hat was like your blankie! Ad-o-rable!

Micah - Your theory may be right! I attract weirdos, I have a crazy weird cat and a crazy weird boyfriend and I am crazy weird. There's a pattern somewhere in all of that.

And I know what you mean about revelling in the preciousness of seeing the little boy in the big man. It's nice to be privvy to the vulnerable side of our men.

Hehe... That COULD be my hubby, too!! He is a HUGE football fan- American football, that is... and he even played here in France with the Corsaires. He has his football gear... I think we should all meet up for the games at the sports bar in Paris when the season starts! We always watch the big games at home -just the two of us, but it would be so much more fun to watch the game with other sports fans... I'll keep you posted if you are interested for the fall... ---Leesa : )

Princesse Ecossaise said...

Leesa ahhhh FP's good friend played for the Corsaires too! I wonder if they know each other? FP will be joining a team in Autumn although don't ask me who because I have no idea. Which kind of makes me look like a bad girlfriend oops! Meeting up to watch the games in a sports bar in Paris when the season begins sounds like a very good idea - as long as you promise not to laugh at my non-existant knowledge of American football that is!
