MySpace Ruined My Life

Really, what is the point in Myspace? I used to like it; love it even, when there were no kids using it, no Myspace whores and no perverts. Okay, okay there were always perverts.

I’m ashamed to say I still have a Myspace account. I rarely use it anymore, but decided to add the link here, because I know quite a few bloggers use it.

So here is the link, which you can also find in the sidebar to the right.

And if you own a Myspace, add me to your friends (I have many ‘friends’ who are not friends. It’s time I deleted everyone and started again) or leave your link here and I shall add you.

By the way, how freakin' amazing is the song over there?

And does anyone know how to change the main photo that appears on the profile? They have changed it al to albums and I’m feeling slightly out of my depth!

I sent a friend add.

Nice profile LOL

My thoughts regarding MySpace are similar to yours. Too many damned kids! :)

I opened an account way back but never use it. No photo, no profile, nothing. I should probably just get rid of it once and for all. Like that bread maker that I only used once and that's hidden in the cabinet somewhere. :)

TD please refrain from laughing at my profile!!!! I made it a long time ago, when I was in denial that I was no longer a teenager. Shhhhh I'm ashamed!

Still, blogging is way better than myspace. without a doubt.

There seems to be a big influx to Facebook at the moment, with new functionality being added regularly. I've always hated MySpace, but you should maybe try Facebook if you're not there already.

facebook was better when they followed the KISS method.

The Pixies, eh?

Princesse Ecossaise said...

Coincidentally, I signed up for Facebook today! I don't understand it at all though...anyone want to explain it to me? What's it for?

Tom the Pixies kick ass!

You can sort of tell that I'm avoiding doing my dissertation by joining all these websites

Does this link take you to my Facebook thingie??? http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=524392789

the pixies were formed close to where I grow up, so clearly they have to be badass.

Princess, the picture I put up on myspace and facebook are specifically for the nosy people! haha!

Saw you were peeping at my wedding photo, oh those days feeel so long ago (actually it will be 6 years in 3 weeks)

Princesse Ecossaise said...

Sheesh Tom, that was your wedding photo? You were SO young! Too young?

I am a nosy bugger, everyone knows it. Although I prefer to refer to myself as 'naturally curious'.

When are you going to propose to Carrie? I like the look of her =o)

ColbyPants said...

naturaly curious works? just curious but did people often describe you a "precocious" as a kid?

lol forgive me if I dont get too ahead of myself proposing, we are happy together but I am not going to lie, after being divorced I am wary about marrying again.

And I was 22 in those pics (and on my wedding day, exactly 22 years and two weeks old) and had been with the girl four years. I was ready to be married, she wasn't

Princesse Ecossaise said...

At least you found happiness afterwards. I'm glad you two are happy together. I like happy couples, so I do. They are so rare these days!

You know what? I don't even know what precocious means. I'm off to wikipedia it. I do hope it's a comliment! Although I'm aware it's most likely not. :-p

Princesse Ecossaise said...

well, there was no 'precocious' so I went to the next best thing.

In biology(the science of life), precocial species are those that are relatively mature and mobile from the moment of birth or hatching. They can almost survive for themselves. The opposite of precocial is altricial. Precocial species are normally nidifugous, meaning that they leave the nest shortly after birth.

Is it true? You think I'm mature and mobile and nidifugous?

Why thankyou!

you have received a request from me. though the name reads jeff tyler (a pseudonym i unceremoniously inherited) with my real name in parentheses (cuyler). my main picture is a spooky painting of author samuel beckett.

Princesse Ecossaise said...

Yay thanks Horns & the Hawk, I accepted you as a friend.

Your real name is nice, I've never heard of it before, how do you pronounce it? I have a thing for names the end in 'ler' and 'lar'.

Gee...the picture scares me a little :-(

Hmm thinking twice about facebooking you, I like my blogging alter ego too much to confuse everyone with too much information!
Blogging for real is much better than facebook or myspace or anything like that!

myspace has lost it's way...too many kids and spammers

Princesse Ecossaise said...

I agree Despina, it's way better to blog than to be on myspace and the other shitty social networking sites. Anyway, Jeebus is totally right, there are way too many kids and spammers. Still it's a wee add-on to the blog...just for a laugh I suppose!
